Test Rig Development Engineer (Senior or Principal level)
£46K Depending on Experience
About the role
Working within a multidisciplinary team you will apply your electrical expertise designing and developing bespoke test rigs for our internal R&D programs and also end of line production system test rigs. You will need to utilise design skills and technical judgement to combine existing technology and innovative new solutions to solve problems presented by the product design teams.
You will ensure work packages are delivered on time, to a high-quality standard and in line with the commercial, technical and safety requirements.
You will hold a BEng, BSc (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, or possess a relevant non-degree level qualification alongside suitable industrial experience. Typically, you will have around 5 years of relevant industrial experience post completion of your degree.
Depth of demonstrable experience designing electrical assemblies and test rigs
Schematic capture and harness design using an industry standard CAD package (ideally Solidworks Electrical)
Working effectively within multi-disciplinary groups.
Experience in control and instrumentation using National Instruments industrial control systems
Must have excellent problem-solving skills
Must be an effective communicator with excellent attention to detail, highly motivated and able to plan and lead work packages to achieve on time delivery
