About the Role
Bluefin are working with an advanced engineering company who are looking to appoint a Sourcing Manager. Leading a small team you will play a key role in defining and implementing optimal supply chain solutions across a mix of different volume scenarios and throughout the entire product lifecycle.
You will analyse supplier performance against business KPIs and work with stakeholders to develop Supply Chain strategies.
You will lead supplier selection activity including requirements capture, market analysis and benchmarking, robust RFx activity, analysis, auditing and negotiation.
You will take ownership of key strategic and operational work packages, with particular emphasis on NPI project delivery, and provide input into the overall category strategy, conducting supply market analysis to identify and assess potential suppliers.
You will support process and tool improvements to ensure supply chain is driven to optimum QCDR performance.
About You
You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and will be a member of CIPS, ideally having MCIPS accreditation.
You will have previous buying experience across a variety of direct and indirect categories, with exposure to category management and the associated principles of the development of category strategies. You will be able to demonstrate delivery of cost reduction across the categories you have managed.
A strategic thinker, you will have the ability to establish and communicate the vision and strategic direction for the category. You have proven experience of leading a small team.
It is key to us that you have a commercial and analytical mindset and the ability to work with a flexible and solutions focused approach, in an agile and fast paced environment. You must also be able to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team alongside both technical and non-technical colleagues. As such, excellent communication and relationship management skills are vital.
