Safety, Certification & Reliability Engineer II




About the role

Working as part of the Product Development team you will ensure safety and compliance of commercial products for use in applications including automotive and industrial power systems.

You will be responsible for applying our product certification, safety and RAM processes to product assessments to ensure compliance to applicable standards and legislation.  You will also assess the reliability of products to advise on product reliability improvement opportunities.

About you

You will hold a BEng, BSc (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, or possess a relevant non-degree level qualification alongside suitable industrial experience.  A post-graduate qualification in certification, safety and or RAMs engineering is advantageous but not essential.

You will have demonstrable relevant industrial experience, which will include working in an analytical capacity.  You will have awareness and understanding of the product lifecycle process and be able to identify improvements in ways of working.  Previous experience within the Hydrogen sector is desirable.

You will have an evidence-based analytical approach with excellent attention to detail and be able to apply safety and reliability tools and techniques such as FMEA, FRACAS and FTA.

It is key to us that you have a commercial mindset and the ability to work with a flexible and solutions focused approach, in an agile and fast paced environment.  You must also be able to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team alongside both technical and non-technical colleagues.  As such, excellent communication skills are vital.

The salary range for this position is £23,500 to £31,999 per annum based on skills and experience.
