Maintenance Planner



Monday – Friday – 8.30 – 4.30


The purpose of the role is to perform a variety of different maintenance planning and scheduling tasks and to keep upkeep of CMMS (Mainsaver). The role will work closely with the Maintenance team to ensure it meets its legal obligations in line with equipment, maintenance and compliance.

We are looking for a enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with previous experience in a similar role. Candidates need to be able to demonstrate their ability to work to a high standard and follow instructions.

Role Duties

  • Participate in meetings with operations and maintenance teams to review daily/ weekly work issues and backlogs.
  • Prepare and circulate monthly reporting and KPI to ensure costs are in line with budget and records are kept up to date.
  • Communicate effectively with, outside bodies and other companies.
  • Administrating, Authorisation to Work Systems and work permits.
  • In conjunction with the Maintenance Manager, organise maintenance programmes to optimise cost and time-utilisation in a structured and disciplined way
  • Plan and prioritise planned and corrective maintenance routines, distribute to staff accordingly
  • Directly liaise with department managers regarding upcoming maintenance activities.
  • Support in all mandatory requirements of Environmental, Health and Safety legislation.
  • Undertake any other tasks required by Maintenance Manager.


The Person

The candidate should:

  • Work always using safe working methods and demonstrate a duty of care to yourself and other employees, customers and other external parties
  • Always report unsafe acts or unsafe
  • Always perform your duties in a way that is consistent with communicated policies and procedures
  • Have strong/immediate experience working with a CMMS (experience with Mainsaver preferred but not essential).
  • Have at least 3 years experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment (not essential).
  • Have general knowledge of health and safety standards and the ability to carry out on the job risk assessments.
  • Have good organisational skills and the ability to coordinate a range of duties.
  • Be able to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and relate to people at all levels of the organisation and with suppliers/contractors
  • Be able to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
  • Have a progressive attitude towards training.
  • Be IT Literate (Microsoft Office, CMMS – Mainsaver).
  • Have accurate record keeping skills.
  • Full driving licence
