Electronics Buyer (Full-Time)

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this role is to ensure the client has the best buying strategy for its organisation with a view to consistently maintain quality and manage costs.  It is important to be able to adapt to different client needs and to develop and maintain successful working relationships, specifying quality and delivery schedules.  Ensure the due date integrity of all items currently on order from the supply chain.

Key responsibilities associated with the role are:

  • Ensure Material Delivery data on the system reflects the true MRP Demand
  • Expedite purchase orders
  • Work with the supply chain to overcome any short term delivery issues
  • Highlight any problems that cannot be overcome to the purchasing manager
  • Attention to detail with a practical approach to problem solving
  • Adhere to purchasing and inventory management process and procedures
  • Any other reasonable tasks as requested by management

Skills required:

  • Must be able to demonstrate a background in procurement and have a manufacturing purchasing/planning  background
  • Previous experience of purchasing electronics is essential
  • Support new business quote activity
  • Liaise and develop business relationships with our preferred supplier base
  • Must be self-motivated, and have strong planning, analytical, and organizational skills.

Working Monday to Friday, salary is negotiable depending on skill and experience, immediate start. Flexi-shift working hours available for this position.
