Business Development Manager




About the role

You will be responsible for establishing the presence of our clients Lift products in the target markets, driving long term sales opportunities which will include lead generation and initial customer engagement, through to closing sales and ongoing account management of new and existing customers.

You will support the sales strategy of our clients Lift product range, have autonomy to develop the market strategy in line with their roadmap and work closely with the marketing team to ensure their products are appropriately positioned in the market. You will also work closely with their engineering teams to ensure customers receive high levels of support during the integration of their products. This position will have a primary focus on the European market with the occasional need to manage enquiries outside of this region.

About you

A relevant technical qualification at level 3 (A-level, NVQ or equivalent) or above is essential.

It would be advantageous that you will have sales and commercial experience within the MHE, logistics or distribution sector. Ideally you will have a desire to drive the market development of clean emission technologies within an evolving market.  You will be able to demonstrate your experience of managing the sales pipeline within a CRM system.  A proven ability to develop and build relationships across multiple stakeholders within commercial customers is required, as is experience of conducting proactive sales campaign with a degree of cold calling.

It is key that you have a commercial mindset and the ability to work with a flexible and solutions focused approach, in an agile and fast paced environment.  You must also be able to work collaboratively and have excellent communication and influencing skills.  Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise and take ownership are also vital.
